WORKING BEE DATES
Mark these in your diary – we need your help
- Sunday 20/1/19 commencing between 9:30 and 10:00am.
Gracedale Park Tennis Club is a community club run by volunteers and all help would be greatly appreciated.
The plan at our club is to have a working bee on the last Sunday of each school holidays to prepare the courts for the next terms competition, coaching, Hot Shots and general use. As you would be aware we have six courts broken into 3 pairs, at the last working bee there wasn’t enough people to complete the works on all courts, with court 1 and 2 missing out completely and now in desperate need of attention. It takes 6 people approximately 2 hours to complete all required work on 1 pair of courts. This being the case we need 18 volunteers at each working bee to complete the general maintenance on all courts, consist of weeding, raking up leaves, spreading new crushed brick and bagging/rolling the courts. And another 4 for the general works required in cleaning up the clubrooms. With items such as vacuuming, moping, dusting, toilets, windows and general cleaning.
We would like to set up a roster for the 4 Sundays, that are selected each year, to compete this work with the aim of having at least 22 people on each date.
